Community Councils

The primary purpose of a community council is to act as a voice for its local area.

Councillors whose wards fall wholly or partly within the geographical area of a Midlothian community council are as deemed 'ex-officio' members of the community council. 'Ex-officio' members have no voting rights on a community council.
